Hendo responds to Jones and says: “I love being an underdog”

Hendo says he will now be the underdog in his fights

Jon Jones has not found opponents in the UFC's light heavyweight division. The North American, just 25 years old, has already defended his division belt on three occasions, but on September 1st, in the main fight of UFC 151, he will face the veteran Dan Henderson.

Considered the biggest winner in the history of MMA, Hendo, who has already won PRIDE belts (in two categories), Strikeforce, Rings, as well as a UFC GP, is seeking the Ultimate title against Jones, who recently claimed he would be the first fighter to knock out Henderson.

“(My right hand) must be a really good trick. It's kept me in the sport all this time, and people still want to see that. But (the secret) is more in the positioning. Is he (Jones) going to knock me out? I would love for him to try. That means he's going to chase me and I won't have to chase him…” said Hendo, who intends to use his experience to surprise the favorite.

“One of the greatest assets I have is my experience, my time, my striking, my takedowns and the ability to mix it all up. I love being the underdog. I like to be a little challenged. I need to prove people wrong. This adds fuel to my fire and motivates me. I feel at home when I’m fighting,”  he added.
