the return of Cezar Mutant to the octagon was scheduled for UFC 153, also called UFC Rio 3, an event that takes place on October 13th, in the capital of Rio de Janeiro. However, the middleweight winner of TUF Brazil underwent knee surgery and only returned to competition in 2013.

“The doctor gave me six months (of recovery),” said Mutante, after undergoing surgical treatment to repair the joint. “My anterior cruciate ligament was completely torn and meniscus. It's an injury that takes a little longer to return. I think I'll only fight again next year. I wanted to be at this event (in Rio, in October), but my doctor didn't let me”, added the fighter.

Mutante won a contract with UFC by winning TUF Brazil in the middleweight division by defeating Serginho Moraes at UFC 147, held in June, in Belo Horizonte. But, initially, Cezar's opponent would be Daniel sarafian, who was forced to leave the decision due to an injury sustained during training. Now, the duel between the athletes could happen next year in Ultimate.
“We’ll see this later, but it’s a fight that should come out… Everyone wanted to see it,” wrote Mutante when asked by an internet user on Twitter.

Pipoqueiro, he only joined the UFC because he was protected, if there's no scheduled fight, he'll drop out.

A weak fighter, without help from his mentor Belfort (who is no longer great), he will be just another punching bag for other fighters.

Mutante proved to be the most complete fighter at tuf 2012, although his challenge will be much greater after recovering from surgery, he has already earned his place in the ufc. This is a space that the fighters above will probably only reach in their dreams.
I'm super excited to see you fight as a mutant, you're amazing in octagamo.. You're in the UFC because you have talent, I'm sure you'll be an unbeatable super champion.....
