As the days go by, the possibility increases that the president of Ultimate, Dana White, will fulfill his promise and carry out the UFC card. UFC 249, scheduled for April 18th. At a time when the world turns to concerns about the coronavirus pandemic, the 'boss' is trying with all his might to maintain one of the main cards of the year. Aware that the show will not take place according to the original lines, the agent has already confirmed changes to the card, in addition to the location. In an interview with Brett Okamotto, from 'ESPN', White signaled that the event will have changes. The information was released by reporter Chamatkar Sandhu.

“Dana White just told Brett Okamotto that the UFC 249 it will be, almost entirely, a new card, with a mix of existing fights and some clashes transferred to it. One of those that can be added is 'Francis Ngannou against Jairzinho Rozenstruik. That’s what they are working on,” Chamatkar said.
Since deciding to cancel three of the company's events, adopting the preventive measure that avoids the crowding of people in the same space, Dana has remained optimistic about the continuation of the April 18th event. Even with the ban on the show taking place in New York, White said he already had a new location in mind for the show, but did not want to announce it to the public.
In a recent interview with 'The Schmo', Rozenstruik, who would face Francis this Saturday (28), spoke excitedly about playing against Ngannou in April.
“We are maintaining training, waiting for an update. Now we've slowed it down a bit, and as soon as we have an update, we'll hit it again and continue. So, we are ready for whatever comes our way. I would be happy to fight on April 18th. I can't wait for this fight to happen because we're working hard for it and the fun has to stop now. It was about time”, he concluded.
The main fight of UFC 249 will mark the long-awaited meeting between Khabib Nurmagomedov e Tony Ferguson in the fight for the lightweight title (up to 70,3kg.).
Dana White just told @bokamotoESPN on his IG live stream that #UFC249 will most likely be a totally new card with a mixture of existing fights and fights moved to it. One of those added to it could be Francis Ngannou vs. Jairzinho Rozenstruik. That's what they're working on.
