The first defense of the heavyweight belt earned the champion Junior Gypsy the leadership in the amounts received as a purse at UFC 146. The Brazilian took in the amount of 200 thousand dollars, the same amount paid to the defeated challenger Frank mir and the former champion Cain Velazquez, who beat the Brazilian Antonio Pezão.

The numbers released by the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) do not include deductions for insurance, licensing or any other fees. It also does not include sponsorship earnings or bonuses such as Knockout or Submission of the Night. Any participation in pay-per-view revenue or “locker room bonuses” are also not included.
