One of the greatest Tupiniquin pupils today, Johnny Walker, will be one of the stars of UFC Brasilia, which takes place on March 14th. The athlete, who had already confirmed his desire to fight at the beginning of 2020, accepted the challenge of facing Nikita Krylov in one of the fights on the first Brazilian card of the year. The information was released by 'Combate'.

Walker's challenge in Brazil comes at a good time since the fighter was defeated by Corey anderson in one of the fights UFC 244. At the time, the athlete emerged as a great promise for the organization and, together with the North American, fought in a fight that could define a future opponent for the champion in the future.
Johnny ended up with a brutal knockout at the beginning of the duel. However, the setback seems to have served as a learning experience for the fighter, who, in the match against Corey, could do little, as he was surprised by his rival right at the beginning of the dispute.
Against Krylov, Johnny will have the duty to sink his opponent even further within the company. With only three fights fought for the company, in his current stint, the Ukrainian only had his arm raised when he hit Ovince St Preux, in a duel held in April this year.
Prior to this, Nikita had failed in his debut for the company, when he was defeated by Jan Blachowicz. In his first appearance for the UFC, Nikita was unable to show his real performance and was submitted by the Russian in one of the fights at UFC Moscow (Russia).
In Ultimate since 2018, Nikita is receiving a second opportunity to work in one of the biggest MMA companies in the world. Krylov had already donned UFC gloves between 2013 and 2016, but, after nine presentations and performances between the heavyweights (up to 120,2kg) and welterweights (77kg.) he was unable to convince and ended up not having his contract renewed.
The duel against Johnny could represent new visibility for the Ukrainian, in case of victory. The meeting means a dispute between 11th and 14th in the ranking.
