Ricardo Prasel's dream of fighting in the UFC is temporarily postponed. The Brazilian heavyweight (up to 120 kg.), who was a former Chelsea goalkeeper and abandoned football to dedicate himself to MMA, was knocked out by Dontale Mayes in the fourth episode of 'Dana White Contender Series', a program in which the UFC president looks for new talent to hire. For his triumph, Mayes received a contract with the organization.

Despite Ricardo Prasel's setback, Brazil had another representative in the episode, which had a different outcome. Middleweight (up to 83.9 kg.) Antonio Arroyo submitted Stephen Regman in the second round with a katagatame and secured a contract with the UFC.
This was the fighter's second participation in the program. In 2018 he fought in the Brazilian edition of the Contender Series and beat Diego Gaúcho on points, but did not receive the contract with Ultimate.
