Bisping believes in Weili Zhang's victory over Jéssica Andrade at UFC Shenzhen

The former middleweight champion (up to 83,9kg.), Michael Bisping gave his prediction for UFC Shenzhen. The commentator, today, does not believe that the Brazilian Jéssica 'Bate-Estaca' will be successful in her first title defense since she dethroned Rose namajunas No. UFC 237, in May, through the straw belt (up to 52,1kg.). The statements were recently made on the North American podcast, 'Belive You Me'.

“Weilli (Zhang) must beat her (Jessica). She's fantastic at standing up. Great at footwork. She is very capable. She has three fights and no losses in the UFC, and comes from an incredible winning record”, commented the former fighter.

It's a fact that the Chinese still doesn't have much experience inside the Octagon. The athlete signed a contract with Ultimate in August 2018 and only played on three occasions. However, the fighter is on a streak of 19 consecutive victories. This, therefore, was the argument used by Michael to opt for Zhang.

“Weilli has 20 fights and 19 wins. Nine are by knockout, seven submissions. So, 16 of the 19 victories were by interruption. She stops the fights. She wins, knocks out, submits. It’s rare to see that in this category (straws), but she does it and she’s very good at it,” said Bisping.

The commentator also reported on the Chinese woman's latest performance, which defeated Tecia torres by unanimous decision of the judges at UFC 235, in March.

“I saw her fight against Tecia torres. I watched it and thought, 'Wow, this girl is amazing.' She is amazing.' Now, she has three consecutive victories. Is it a little early for a title fight? Maybe, but it's not absurd. She has the skills to be there”, concluded the former athlete.

Andrade, in turn, even though he doesn't have a winning record like his next opponent, is experiencing considerable growth within the UFC. In her last 10 commitments, the Brazilian came out the winner in eight. The last, for the division title.

Bate-Estaca, today, is 27 years old and has had 26 duels in his career, with 20 triumphs and six setbacks.

Weili Zhang, 29, has 20 fights and just one defeat on his professional record.

The duel between the two is scheduled to take place on August 31st, in Shenzhen, China.
