ATHLETES WHO NEEDED FEWER FIGHTS TO BECOME UFC CHAMPIONS OF THE CENTURY

Last Saturday, Jiri Prochazka became light heavyweight champion by submitting Glover Teixeira in his third fight in the UFC octagon.

Remember other names that needed just a few fights to win the Ultimate belt.

Tim Sylvia won the heavyweight belt by knocking out Ricco Rodriguez in his second UFC fight, four months after debuting in the organization.

Inaugural middleweight champion, Dave Menne won the belt by beating Gil Castillo at UFC 33. Before that, he had only entered the Octagon to face Fabiano Iha, still as a lightweight.
