Brazil has another representative on the list of Ultimate athletes. This Thursday (04), Alex Leko He was hired by the company and already has a release date. He replaces the injured Teemu Packalen to face the Russian Alexander Yakovlev at UFC Saint Petersburg, April 20, in Russia. The news was released on the Combate channel website.

Leko, 23 years old, has an MMA record of 20 wins and just one loss. The Santa Catarina native last fought at SBC 19, in Serbia, and beat Slavoljub Mitic by technical knockout in the first round.
In turn, Yakovlev has a record of 23 wins, eight losses and one draw. The 34-year-old Russian is going through a bad phase in his career. Without fighting since 2016, he has lost four of his last six appearances. In the last duel in the octagon, the 'Trovão do Norte', as he is known, was submitted by Zak Cummings, in November 2016.

The main fight of UFC Saint Petersburg will be the heavyweight duel between the Dutchman alistair overeem before the Russian alexey oleynik.
