Edson Barboza was knocked out by Justin Gaethje in the main fight of UFC Philadelphia, held last Saturday (30). But for Alex Davis, the Brazilian fighter's manager, the result could have been different if the referee hadn't missed an irregularity on the part of the American at the beginning of the dispute.

Through his Facebook account, Davis published an image in which Gaethje hits Barboza with a finger (see image above). The move happened in the first frank exchange of blows between the athletes and the Brazilian clearly felt the discomfort in his vision.
“No excuses, but that dictated the fight”, wrote the businessman in the 'stories' from the social network.
With the result, Gaethje scored his second consecutive victory and should rise from eighth place in the lightweight rankings. In turn, Edson interrupted his recovery in the category and should lose sixth place in the classification, putting him further away from the chance for the title.
