UFC President criticizes referee who gave victory to Claudio Hannibal

Dana White claimed that fighters and fans were 'robbed' of a great performance by Kevin Sataki and apologized to Danny Roberts

Claudio Hannibal finished Danny Roberts with an armbar on the main card of the UFC London. The victory generated controversy, as the Brazilian's rival did not knock as a sign of withdrawal. Referee Kevin Sataki ended the duel after hearing the Englishman's screams of pain. Through his social networks, the organization's president, Dana White commented on the controversial result.

“It kills me when a referee messes up and steals a great fight and opportunity not only from the fighters but also from the fans. Danny Roberts, I’m sorry,” White wrote on his Instagram account.

According to the referee, Roberts had verbally signaled that he was no longer able to compete. However, the fighter denied Sataki's version and stated that he was already free from the armbar when Kevin ended the fight.
