Bellator 63 opens welterweight GP this Friday

The 63rd edition of Bellator takes place this Friday night, in Uncasville, United States. The event marks the opening of the welterweight GP, and the tournament will only feature one Brazilian in contention. Nova União athlete Carlos Índio faces North American Bryan Baker. The duel will be valid for the quarterfinals of the tournament.

Carlos Índio debuts in the tournament coming from an unbeaten run of four fights, one draw and three wins, the last over Silmar Nunes at Iron Man 11, in August 2011. In turn, Bryan Baker, who debuts in the welterweight division , was already a semi-finalist in the middleweight GP. The North American is coming off a defeat to the Brazilian Vitor vianna in the 2011 Bellator season.
