Peter Munhoz achieved the most important victory of his career at UFC 235, an event held this Saturday (02), in Las Vegas (USA). The Brazilian fought an almost perfect fight and knocked out the former champion cody garbrandt at the end of the first round after an insane exchange of blows. With the result, Pedrinho, as he is known, did not miss the opportunity to ask for a chance at the bantamweight belt (up to 61,2 kg.)

“Did you guys like that? I wanted to bring the best fight to these guys. (…) Now I want to fight for the title. I just beat number 2, cody garbrandt, and I believe I should fight for the belt”, said Pedrinho still in the cage.
The fight
The fight between the bantamweights started off hot. Garbrandt kicked from the waistline, but the Brazilian blocked it, pulled his rival's foot and tried to put in a footlock. The North American, with the help of the bars, managed to escape the submission.
The fight remained close and Cody tried to impose his speed, striking quickly and leaving the range of action to avoid Munhoz's responses. However, the Brazilian landed a left cross that knocked the former bantamweight champion down.
Pedrinho went up, connected several punches on the ground, but Garbrandt managed to get up. From that moment on, the athletes exchanged punches in a frank, open, undefended manner. Even tired and feeling the North American's attacks, Munhoz landed a cross that made 'No Love' fall. The São Paulo native launched a few more attacks and was interrupted by the referee who declared his victory.
Weili Zhang dominates Tecia Torres and adds 19th career victory
The chinese Weili Zhang proved his evolution in MMA on Saturday night. She dominated Tecia torres in the three rounds and took the dispute by the judges' decision (30-27, 29-28, 30-27).
The strawweights started the first round studying each other and measuring the distance. Zhang tried to throw a spinning kick, but got in the way. So, the fight went to the fence and the Chinese woman quickly transitioned to the back and tried the choke. Tecia managed to get out of position and take down her rival. However, Weili made the transition, was on top in the 100kg position and tried to strike.
The Chinese returned to the second round confident and threw good low kicks and to the waist. Tecia tried to put her rival on the ground, but 'Magnum' defended herself and took the fight to the fence. Zhang with a hip lever knocked Torres down, but remained underneath her opponent. The American took advantage and tried to strike Weili.
The last round came back hot with the strawweights exchanging blows. The American pulled her rival into the clinch, who responded with a right cross. Thus, Zhang came out of the woodwork. Back in the center of the cage, Weili got a takedown and landed on top. 'Magnum' gained half guard and put pressure on his opponent with punches and elbows.
