Johnny Walker has claimed another victim! With a flying knee, the Brazilian knocked out Misha Cirkunov in just 36 seconds of the first round and scored his third stunning victory in Ultimate. The duel was an attraction on the preliminary card of UFC 235, held in Las Vegas, this Saturday (02).

During his traditional celebration, where he throws himself into the octagon and makes a snake move, Walker ended up hurting his shoulder. In an interview in the octagon, Johnny was reprimanded by Joe Rogan and joked: “If I can survive myself, I can survive anything.”
Despite the shoulder injury, the Brazilian said he will soon return to training to return to the octagon as soon as possible.
“My shoulder came out of place, but I already put it back in place. Just like Wolverine, he left the place but is now back. Inside I felt like I always did, happy, motivated, just the way I like. I always trained knees, kicks, punches... today I just saw the opportunity and did it. I want to fight next week, I don't need a shoulder to fight, no... Just kidding!! I need to see the shoulder, but I think everything is fine. In a little while I'll be back training so I can be fighting”, Walker told the Combate channel.
The fight
Walker started the fight with his guard down and provoking his rival. However, when everyone least expected an attack, Johnny landed a devastating flying knee, right into Cirkunov's face. The Latvian went to the ground and the Brazilian needed just a few more punches to secure the victory.

Still on the preliminary card, Brazil suffered its first defeat of the night. The Pará Polyana viana was beaten by the American Hannah Cifers in a unanimous decision by the judges (29-28, 28-29, 29-28).
With the result, Cifers achieved his first victory in Ultimate and the ninth triumph in his almost six-year career. Meanwhile, Polyana recorded her second defeat in three fights in the organization. In August last year, the Brazilian was defeated by JJ Aldrich at UFC 227.
The fight
The strawweights started the fight exchanging blows in the center of the Octagon without much effectiveness. Even with 9cm less than the Brazilian, Cifers dictated the pace of the first minutes of the fight. The American approached and threw jabs, straight and crossed. In response, Polyana managed to take her rival to the ground. However, Hannah quickly got up. The 'Iron Lady' attacked with a kick, but 'Shockwave' landed a beautiful overhand counterattack. The woman from Pará fell to the ground and defended herself from her opponent's attacks.
The Brazilian returned for the second round looking to recover. Polyana attacked her rival with a kick to the waist, an upper and a straight shot in a row. In response, Cifers launched counterattacks and crosses. Viana pressed and pulled her rival into guard and started attacking. Hannah just defended herself. 'Iron Lady' tried to climb up to attack with an armbar, but the opponent protected herself well and didn't give any room.
With the fight tied, the strawweights went on the attack. Cifers was more effective and scored by hitting the Brazilian several times with the sequence: jab, straight and kick. Polyana responded with kicks and jabs. The round remained warm until the last seconds, when two fighters engaged in a frank exchange.
