Brazilian Thiago Michel defeated compatriot René Nazaré, last Friday, and will be the country's only representative in the semifinals of the Bellator lightweight GP. And this Sunday, the fighter from Minas Gerais met his opponent in the next phase of the tournament.
Thiago will face off against North American Brent Weedman, who beat JJ Ambrose in the GP quarterfinals. In the other semi-final, the athletes who were Brazilians' tormentors in the quarter-finals will face each other: Lloyd Woodard, who submitted Patricky Pitbull, faces Rick Hawn, who knocked out Ricardo Tirloni.
The semifinal clashes of the Bellator lightweight GP are scheduled for the 66th edition of the event, which takes place on April 20, in Cleveland, in the United States.
