Francis Ngannou will face Cain Velazquez in the main fight of UFC Phoenix, this Sunday (17). To fulfill his dream of becoming heavyweight champion, 'The Predator' will have the arduous task of beating the greatest fighters in the history of MMA. In an interview with the North American website MMA Junkie, the fighter said that a victory over the veteran is enough to qualify him for an Ultimate title fight.

“Yes, I'm sure (that a win over Cain is enough to fight for the belt). I don't think (I have to knock him out), I just have to win. I'm well prepared. Do you want me to tell you my strategy? No (laughs),” said Ngannou.

Even rocked by the knockout in 45 seconds over Curtis blaydes, Francis knows he won't have an easy time during the fight with Velasquez. 'The Predator' believes that Cain remains the same exciting fighter who defeated Travis Browne with a technical knockout at UFC 200 in July 2016. It is worth remembering that the former heavyweight champion remained away from Ultimate for more than two and a half years due to various injuries.

“I think we’ll see the same Cain. He still has the experience, he still has that, you know? He finished his last fight. Because he won the last fight, he still has that confidence with him and everything. He is always training. He has always helped Daniel (Cormier) with his fights since he was away. But I’m ready for whatever is necessary”, concluded the heavyweight.
