Fighter Josh Copeland is in hot water with the US courts. The 36-year-old heavyweight was arrested on charges of domestic violence against his wife. The news was reported by gossip website TMZ.

According to the report, Copeland was arrested after punching his wife in the face following an argument. According to the Colorado State Police report, the blow was so strong that it left the victim's face injured and bleeding with 'blood up to the neck'.
Copeland's wife reported that after an argument she slapped the fighter in the face, but he punched her back and threw her on the bed. Furthermore, her husband would have taken her cell phone and hidden it so that she would not be able to call for help. The fight reportedly took place in front of the couple's daughter.
Josh Copeland, who carries the nickname 'Care Bear' has a professional record of 18 wins, six losses and one draw as a professional. The heavyweight fought in the UFC between 2014 and 2015, when he accumulated defeats to Ruslan Magomedov and Jared Rosholt. In his last performance, in December 2018, the North American was defeated by the Brazilian Philip Lins in the PFL grand final, where the winner pocketed a prize of US$1 million.
