“We can go to court and a lawsuit can take place. Because it's like Tom Brady won the chance to play in the Super Bowl but suddenly the NFL told him he can't go because they don't like him. That’s not how it is,” Covington said.

The North American won Rafael dos Anjos at UFC 225 in June 2018 and won the interim welterweight belt. After the confrontation, Ultimate called him to face Woodley in September at UFC 228 for title unification. However, Colby had to undergo surgery and refused the duel. The organization ended up calling Darren till to face Tyron at the same event. The Englishman was submitted in the second round by 'Chosen One'.

Recovered and ready to return to the octagon, Covington hoped he would have the chance to be the first to face Woodley in 2019. However, UFC president Dana White confirmed that Usman would be the next challenger for the division title. 'Chaos' asked what else he needs to do to get a chance to fight for the belt.

“If the UFC wants to be a circus and do business corruptly, that’s their problem. I remain firm in what I believe in and I will not back down. I don't care what 'Uncle Chico' (Dana White) has to say. Just number one in the division rankings, look at the UFC website. 'Uncle Chico' put the belt on me and I'm the only fighter to go to the White House. What else do I have to do? What else do I need to fight for the title?” said the former interim champion.

At the end of the interview, Covington promised that he will make life in the UFC hell. “Let’s go to court. I'll make UFC life hell, I don't care. They already want to make my life hell. What they are trying to do is ridiculous, it makes no sense,” concluded Covington.
