'The champion is back'! The phrase already said several times in the octagon fits perfectly for José Aldo. The former featherweight champion entered the octagon rated as an underdog in the bookmakers' fight against his compatriot Renato Moicano, but the Manauara man showed why he is the greatest featherweight champion. With a tactical performance in the first round, waiting for the best moment to attack, he came back with everything in the second round and achieved the brutal knockout in 44 seconds. The duel was the second most important of UFC Fortaleza, an event held this Saturday (03), in the capital of Ceará.

Euphoric with his triumph, Aldo repeated the scene that made him famous at UFC 142, in Rio de Janeiro. He jumped over the fence and went to celebrate with fans, literally 'in the arms of the people' (see below)

“I tried to change my head and face, that's always expected, but I ended up being happy. Guys, thank you very much for your kindness. Today I came here as an underdog, even with all my history and I knew you would be on my side. Even though many say you won't make it, work hard and you'll be able to achieve all your dreams”, said a euphoric Aldo still in the cage.

The fight

The fight between Aldo and Moicano started out studied. Higher up, the Brasilia native took the center of the octagon and tried to keep the duel at medium distance. In turn, Aldo worked well on moving his head, avoiding jabs, and waited for the best moment to attack.
