Rory McDonald will face off against Jon Fitch on April 27th, in San Jose (USA). According to the North American website, the fight will be worth the welterweight belt and a place in the semifinals of the Bellator Grand Prix. The duel has not yet been made official by the organization.

MacDonald is the Bellator welterweight champion. In his last engagement, Rory was knocked out by Gegard Mousasi in a superfight for the middleweight belt in September last year at Bellator 206. In April, 'Red King' will make his first title defense. The Canadian has 25 career fights with 20 triumphs and five setbacks.
Jon Fitch is a former WSOF welterweight champion. The American made his Bellator debut in May 2018, when he beat Paul Daley by point. He has 30 fights on his record, with 31 wins, seven setbacks and one draw.
The winner of the fight will face Neiman Gracie in the semi-finals of the welterweight GP. The Brazilian submitted Ed Ruth at Bellator 213 in December and won the spot.
