Holly holm was chosen to face Aspen ladd at UFC 235, March 2nd in Las Vegas (USA). Even with the 14 year difference between the athletes, the former bantamweight champion will not underestimate her young rival. Since 'Preacher's Daughter' needs a victory to return to the top of the division. In an interview with the North American website MMA Junkie, the fighter admitted that she has plans to compete for the title in the under-61kg category against Amanda nunes in the future.

“I will face Aspen ladd and we will see later what will happen. There are short-term and long-term goals. I would love to be able to face Amanda nunes. This is one of the long-term possibilities. But right now my focus is 100% on Aspen ladd,” Holm explained.
Before giving Holm a chance to fight for the bantamweight belt, Ultimate could confirm a rematch between Cyborg and Amanda. Asked about the confrontation between the Brazilians, Holly believes that Cris deserves a new duel, as she was a dominant fighter for so long and ended up being knocked out.
“I think she deserves the chance to fight again, and I don't think she needs people to say that. Rematches after knockouts have to come from the fighters themselves. If Cyborg says, 'I want the rematch!', I think he should honor that request and grant the rematch,” Holly said.
Focused on the confrontation with Ladd, Holm states that she cannot underestimate her opponent's qualities, as she runs the risk of being defeated for not having given her due attention. Therefore, she guarantees that she will do her best inside the octagon in Las Vegas.
“Aspen is young and is not undefeated by chance. She is tough and believes in herself. She arrived and had a few fights in the UFC and, even though she was young, she handled the pressure very well. The pressure doesn't affect her. She is on the rise, and had no weak opponents in front of her. The problem is that she hasn't fought me yet. It will be a different fight than the ones she has ever had. I am aware of her qualities and also that she is a dangerous fighter. I will not underestimate her in any way,” concluded 'Preacher's Daughter'.
