Marlon Sandro and Alexandre Popó submit at the Bellator GP

Brazil has two representatives in the semifinals of the Bellator featherweight GP. In the first phase of the tournament, held this Friday (10), in the 60th edition of the event, Marlon Sandro and Alexandre Popó guaranteed a place in the semi-final.

The first Brazilian to enter the GP contest, Popó faced the American Kenny Foster and submitted the American at the end of the second round with a rear naked choke to score his 13th career victory. In turn, Marlon Sandro was even faster: in just over three minutes, the Nova União athlete submitted Roberto Vargas with a rear naked choke and is also guaranteed in the semifinals.

The other highlight of the night was Pat Curran, who had beaten Marlon in last year's GP, and knocked out Joe Warren in the third round to win the category belt.
