The Brazilian Antonio Pezão You have a new house! The Brazilian athlete left Strikeforce and is the UFC's new heavyweight. The announcement was made this Wednesday (7) and Pezão already has a date and opponent defined for his debut. The man from Paraíba faces Roy Nelson at UFC 146, an event that takes place on May 26, in Las Vegas, in the United States.
With a record of 16 wins and three losses, Pezão gained worldwide notoriety by dominating the Russian Fedor Emelianenko in the first phase of the Strikeforce GP. On that occasion, the Brazilian won the fight by technical knockout at the end of the second round. In his last performance, however, Pezão left something to be desired. He was surprised by Daniel Cormier, in September, and lost by technical knockout in the semifinals of the Strikeforce tournament.
