Bulgarian heavyweight Blagoi Ivanov, 25, is fighting the biggest fight of his career: for his life. The fighter, who is part of Bellator's roster of athletes, suffered a stab in the heart when a group of people invaded a restaurant in the city of Sofia, the capital of his country. Ivanov is in serious condition in the ICU of the Pirogov hospital.
Blagoi, who is undefeated in MMA with six wins, gained notoriety for being the first man to beat the Russian Fedor Emelianenko in a sambo competition.
In his last fight in MMA, the Bulgarian defeated former UFC champion Ricco Rodriguez by technical knockout at Chekhov MMA in December 2011
