Last week, Ultimate canceled UFC 233, which was scheduled to take place on January 26th in California (USA). This was fuel to increase the rivalry between the UFC and Bellator. During the press conference for the 213 event, the president of the rival franchise, Scott Coker stated that he spoke 'ammunition' from the organization to keep the card in Anaheim.

MMA organizations had scheduled two events for January 26th: UFC 233 and the final of the Bellator Heavyweight GP between Fedor Emelianenko e Ryan bader.
“I thought it was cute, funny. Everyone has business to run, they have theirs and we have ours. We have been using this date for the last three years, everyone knows that we are going to hold an event on this date. It didn't work out for them due to a casting problem. Who will fight? If you're going to compete with Fedor x Bader live on Paramount and DAZN, and selling your fight on pay-per-view, you better have your plan A, and they ran out of ammunition”, fired Coker.
Without the competition from UFC 233, Scott took the opportunity to publicize the main attractions of Bellator 214 at the Los Angeles Forum (USA).
“Let's focus on our business, we have a big card that day, with Aaron Pico against Henry Corrales, Jack Swagger, from WWE, making his debut, Juan Archuleta will fight too, we are still finding an opponent. We still have Gegard and Fedor, and they will both fight. Fedor is the best of all time and will face the Ryan bader, which today is one of the best in the world. It’s the fight of a legend against a champion”, concluded the franchise commander.
