The fight would be a three-round boxing match. Oscar also stated that he would give White five months to prepare for the duel and scheduled the meeting for May 05th.
“Let’s get in the ring, three rounds. Lets do this. Let's do this with Canelo [Alvarez], on May 50th. I'll even give you five months so you can come out of inactivity. and then we can get in great shape and then we will do three rounds. Look, I'm going to give you a XNUMX pound advantage? It is true. I can take you. Let’s do it”, said De La Hoya.
Oscar De La Hoya has been retired from boxing since 2008 when he was defeated by Manny Pacquiao. The president of Golden Boy Promotions has a record of 45 fights, with 39 triumphs and six setbacks. He finished 30 fights with a knockout over the likes of Ricardo Mayorga, Arturo Gatti and Julio César Chávez.
Dana White never fought professionally, but a boxing match with Tito Ortiz was planned in 2007. The UFC president stated that he had scheduled a duel, however, the confrontation was not carried out.
