Maurício 'Shogun' knocked out Tyson Peter at 43 seconds of the third round of the UFC Adelaide co-main event last Saturday (01). With the show in Australia, the Brazilian had four wins in five fights, won the 'Performance of the Night' award and should enter the top 10 of the light heavyweight rankings. Even so, Rua admitted that he is still not close to a title shot.

“I won four out of five, but I know I still don't deserve the belt. There are people ahead of me in the title line, and I would never want to get ahead of anyone. Unless the UFC wanted to, but I'll never say it's my turn because it's not. “My style is knockout style, it’s the style that pleases the fans, so I’m very happy. Of the last five fights, I won four. I'm a guy who's not so young anymore, I've been fighting in MMA for 17 years, but thank God I can fight with the new guys and go head to head with them”, concluded Maurício.
