Raphael Assunção and Marlon Moraes have a rematch in the main fight of UFC Fortaleza

Ultimate announced on Thursday (29) seven fights on its card in Fortaleza, February 2nd at the Centro de Formação Olímpica. The main fight will feature a rematch between Raphael Assunção e Marlon moraes in roosters. In the co-main event, Demian Maia will face Lyman Good at welterweight.

The other five confirmed fights were: Marina Rodriguez face Alexa grasso by straw weight; Junior ‘Baby’ Albini against Dmitry Sosnovskiy in heavyweight; Thiago Pitbull faces Max griffin at welterweight; Taila Santos measures forces against Mara Romero Borella in flies; and the confrontation between Rogerio Bontorin and Magomed Bibulatov for the flies.

Raphael Assunção e Marlon moraes they met for the first time at UFC 212, which was held in Rio de Janeiro in June 2017. On that occasion, the Friborg native made his debut in the organization and was defeated by the Pernambuco native via split decision.

Raphael Assunção occupies third place in the ranking of roosters. He has a streak of four wins in two years. The Pernambuco native has 32 fights in his record, with 27 wins and five losses. There are 11 triumphs in the Brazilian's last 12 fights. The fighter will make his second appearance in Fortaleza. In the first fight, he submitted Vaughan Lee in the second round.

Marlon moraes is in fourth place in the division ranking. After the defeat to Assunção, he won three consecutive victories. The Friborg native has 27 fights in his record, with 21 wins, five defeats and one draw. In the last 17 fights, the fighter had 16 victories and two knockouts won the 'Performance of the Night' bonus.

The winner of the Brazilians' second meeting must be accredited to be the next challenger for the bantamweight title.

Tickets for the event in Fortaleza go on sale on Wednesday, December 5th.
