Buhaza, 19 years old, is passionate about MMA and has been a source of inspiration for KHK MMA athletes, since he started taking classes with some of Brave's main names, such as lightweight Eldar Eldarov, head coach at the Bahraini gym. . Upon learning that Sheikh Khalid had already fought in amateur MMA, Mohammed made a point of asking for a “fight”.
The challenge was accepted and the “fight” will take place at the opening ceremony of International Combat Week, when dignitaries from across the region will be present for the start of the festivities, which also mark the beginning of the amateur MMA world championship organized in conjunction with IMMAF ( International MMA Federation).
The sparring session is part of the efforts created by KHK Heroes, a global initiative that seeks to help the needy population and those with special needs through sport and which will also be officially launched during International Combat Week.
“KHK Heroes is an initiative that seeks to cement our commitment to society. Commitment and compassion are the hallmarks of the success of any project. With KHK Heroes, we want to transform the lives of young and underprivileged society in the Kingdom of Bahrain and beyond. This initiative by His Highness will bring to light the stories of this part of society that has been ignored, and we hope to help them achieve their dreams”, commented Brave's president, Mohammed Shahid.
