Miesha Tate is the newest signing of ONE Championship. Unlike former champions Demetrious Johnson and Eddie Alvarez, the former fighter will not climb into the cage to face the athletes from the Asian organization. 'Cupcake' will take over as vice president of the franchise. The announcement was made by the company's CEO Chatri Sityodtong this Thursday (8) through his Twitter.

Miesha Tate retired from the octagons in November 2016. 'Cupcake' won the bantamweight belt by submitting Holly holm at UFC 196. In July 2016, she put the title up for grabs against Amanda nunes. On that occasion, the champion was submitted by the Brazilian in the first round. In her last commitment, the fighter defeated by Rachel Pennington. In her nine-year career, the American had 25 fights, 18 victories and seven setbacks.
