The protagonists of the main UFC 230 duels participated in the open training session held on Wednesday (31) at the Madison Square Garden gym in New York (USA). Contrary to previous editions, the public did not show up in large numbers to honor the athletes.

The first to enter the gym was heavyweight title challenger Derick Lewis. He stated that he would not train and only answered questions from fans. ‘Black Beast’ spoke about his problem with weight loss and his traditional celebration.

The last one to enter the gym was the heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier. He demonstrated his gauntlet strikes and some jiu-jitsu positions and takedowns. ‘DC’ was the most applauded by the public.
“I’m what an MMA fighter is made of. How many chances does Lewis have of beating me on Saturday? If you struggle with Daniel Cormier, you don’t have a chance”, shot Cormier.
