Data released by hackers was not from Dana White

Last week, hackers hacked the official UFC website and, after a confrontation with Dana White on Twitter, made personal data of the UFC president available on the internet. Information such as phone numbers, Social Security registration, address and car registration were leaked as belonging to White. The conflict arose over the UFC's support for SOPA, PIPA and ACTA anti-piracy legislation.

However, the shot of hackers backfired. The data tracked and published was not from the UFC president, but from namesakes and people with similar crossed data. Las Vegas resident, Julie Breeler had her phone number disclosed as White's and was harassed a lot in recent days: “They called me wanting interviews, to send resumes, threatening my life and even just to chat. All kinds of things. I didn’t know whether to be scared or angry,” Breeler told FOX 5 News.

Knowing the inconvenience caused, Dana White personally apologized to Breeler. When she heard a knock on her door, she was startled:

“I grabbed my gun before opening the door. I opened the door and said, 'Yes?' He said, 'Julie Breeler?' When I confirmed, he said, 'Hi, I'm Dana White!'"

Breeler told FOX 5 News that she and Dana had a quick and pleasant conversation and that she was eager to put the mistaken identity issue behind her. When she asked how anyone could confuse the names Julie Breeler and Dana White. The girl reported that the previous owner of the house was called Dana and had a white cat.
