Fábio Maldonado faced Ivan Sthyrkov at the Russian Cagefighting Championship on Saturday (27). The fight was stopped by the referee at 1m23s of the second round, giving the Russian victory by technical knockout. However, the Brazilian believes that the referee missed the moment to stop the duel.
On his social network, Maldonado confessed that he was 'robbed' in the confrontation with the Russian. “I was robbed yesterday once again here in Russia, my opponent was not at fault, but look at the stupidity of this referee who stopped my fight out of nowhere”, Fábio posted after the fight.
On Monday, the 'Caipira de Aço' returned to Instagram where he posted the video of the confrontation and asked his followers about their opinion of the result of the fight.

Maldonado recorded his second defeat in a row. In 37 fights in his career, the fighter has 24 victories and 13 setbacks. Meanwhile, his Russian opponent remains undefeated in 15 fights.
