The fight between Chris Weidman is Brazilian Demian Maia, at UFC on Fox 2, an event held last Saturday in Chicago, marked one of the most controversial decisions in the history of Ultimate. The North American dominated the actions of the confrontation, but after 15 minutes of duel, one of the judges saw the victory of the Brazilian athlete. The split decision of the side judges (29×28, 28×29, 29×28) displeased the public who booed the release of the slips.
However, UFC president Dana White made a point of clearing up the confusion and unanimously confirming the North American's triumph. “The score for the Maia x Weidman fight was wrong. It wasn’t a split decision, Weidman won for all three judges,” said the director via his Twitter account.
