Dana White minimizes conflict with Khabib: 'Everything will be resolved'

UFC President assured that Khabib will not leave Ultimate, but avoided giving any clues about the Russian's next opponent

If it depends on Dana White, president of the UFC, the company's relationship with Khabib Nurmagomedov is resolved. After the lightweight champion threatened to leave Ultimate if his team was punished for the widespread confusion after UFC 229, on October 6th, the manager assured that the problems were resolved internally, minimizing the risk of the Russian breaking up with the company.

“We are fine, we are on good terms with Khabib. You guys keep posting this shit. It was a week ago. A lot happens in business in a week. I know what he said, but it was a week ago. Everything will be resolved. (…) We're fine, we sorted it out. Let's solve it. Obviously he was a little upset, but it's going to be okay. People get very emotional, it was a fight that affected emotions. At the end of the day, Khabib is a great guy, we've always had a great relationship with him. Everything is fine”, declared White in an interview with the website “TMZ”.

When the subject was Khabib's next opponent, Dana preferred to stay out of the conversation. According to him, there is still no definition for the next title defense, avoiding saying whether he will grant the rematch to Conor McGregor ou Tony Ferguson will be the challenger of the time.

“The fight just happened, we are still dealing with the commission issues. We are working on other fights until we resolve this one”, concluded the president.
