After many rumors and months of negotiations, it is now official: Eddie Alvarez is the newest fighter on the One Fighting Championship (One FC) roster. The Asian organization announced the agreement with the former UFC champion through its social networks, with a welcome message. Last week, journalist Ariel Helwani had already reported the high possibility of the contract being announced.

The only fighter in history to be Bellator and UFC champion, Alvarez is not going through a good moment in his career. Since he knocked out Rafael dos Anjos To win the UFC lightweight belt, in June 2016, the North American entered the Octagon on four more occasions, achieving only one victory – two defeats and one unsuccessful fight. His last appearance was in July this year, when he was knocked out by Dustin poirier.
During his time with the company chaired by Dana White, Eddie recorded four triumphs and three setbacks in eight fights. Previously, he made history at Bellator by winning the organization's gold belt, in addition to fighting memorable battles against Michael chandler. At 34 years old, Alvarez has a record with 29 positive results, six negative results and one I didn't answer.
