Now it's official. The UFC 230 card, scheduled for New York on November 3, already has its main fight defined. This is a duel between Daniel Cormier e Derrick Lewis, valid for the heavyweight belt. The information was first released by journalist Brett Okamoto, from the American ESPN, and later made official by Ultimate.

This will be the first time that Cormier puts his heavyweight title on the line, won in July this year, when he knocked out Stipe Miocic at UFC 226. Before that, DC, who defended his light heavyweight belt on three occasions, beat Volkan oezdemir by technical knockout last January. In total, there are 10 wins, one loss and one unsuccessful fight in Ultimate.
Lewis is also going through an enlightened phase. In the last 10 times he stepped into the Octagon, he recorded nine victories, seven of which were by knockout. In the UFC since 2014, the 'Black Beast' has accumulated 12 positive results and three negative results, having already beaten names like Gabriel Napao, Roy Nelson, Travis Browne and Francis Ngannou.
So far, the UFC 230 card already features a title fight between Valentina Shevchenko e sijara eubanks, valid for the vacant women's flyweight belt. Other important clashes are also confirmed on the show, such as: Chris Weidman x Luke Rockhold, Ronaldo Jacare x David Branch and Derek Brunson x Israel adesanya.
