Anthony Johnson is fired from UFC

After failing to reach the weight limit for the middleweight category, and putting the fight against Vitor belfort at UFC Rio 2, the North American Anthony Johnson was fired from the UFC. The fighter weighed in at almost five kilos above 84kg. allowed by the category, and was also finished with a rear naked choke in the event held this Saturday, at the HSBC Arena.

At the press conference, UFC president Dana White did not forgive the American, who had failed to make the weight limit on two other occasions. “Anthony (Johnson)’s attitude was one of the biggest lacks of professionalism I’ve ever seen in my entire life. It was certainly the biggest disaster in the history of UFC weigh-ins,” said White. “I always say that in the UFC it's like this: three damage and you're out. Johnson made three errors so he's out. Things like this cannot happen in an organization like the UFC”, added the irritated president.
