Dana White says Khabib will be fined almost R$1 million for fighting at UFC 229

Khabib Nurmagomedov will feel in his pocket the consequences of the widespread fight arranged after UFC 229, last Saturday (06), in Las Vegas (USA), right after submitting his rival Conor McGregor. According to President Dana White, the Russian should be fined by the Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC) US$250 (about R$933) of his purse, which reached the value of US$2 million (about R$ 7,5 million). As a bonus, the director revealed that McGregor has already asked for a rematch.

“Nurmagomedov has to go to the Nevada Athletic Commission first, and we have to see what will happen with Khabib and this whole mess, but Conor McGregor He already called me wanting a rematch. Dana admitted that he was already expecting bigger problems at the event, largely due to the strong rivalry between Nurmagomedov and McGregor. However, the president stated that he was surprised by the lightweight champion's reaction after the fight.

“We knew some things could happen after the fight, so we left everything in place to make sure they wouldn't happen. I didn't think Khabib would jump the cage like that. He got over that thing really fast and headed towards one of Conor's corners. I have no doubt he's right to be upset, but firstly, he just won the fight against the biggest superstar in all of sports. You just hit it with the whole world watching. The only one who got hurt in this now is Khabib, who will have to go to the Nevada Commission first,” he concluded.
