In the early hours of this Saturday (06), UFC 229 takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, an event that has been treated by boss Dana White himself as the biggest in the organization's history. Almost three million people have already purchased their pay-pay-view packages so as not to miss any details of the fight between Khabib Nurmagomedov e Conor McGregor, who is worth the lightweight belt.

The emotions, however, will not be restricted to the main fight. On the preliminary card, we will have two Brazilians taking to the octagon, in addition to the biggest fight of the night, the duel between Vincent Luque e jalin turner.

Check out our predictions below and find out how to profit from the shares of oddsshark in the fights that will open the event.

Sergio Pettis x Jussier Formiga

The Brazilian Jussier formiga comes from two exciting victories against the Japanese Ulka Sasaki and the American Ben Nguyen, both by submission. In the last one, he received the performance of the night award at UFC 221, in Perth, Australia. The former Shooto champion has been in the UFC since 2012, and in 11 fights for the organization, he has seven triumphs and four setbacks.

PUBLICITY:

Sergio Pettis, in turn, is ranked second in the flyweight division, and after losing by unanimous decision to the champion Henry Cejudo, showed power of reaction to win his next fight, against Joseph Benavidez, at UFC 225. Pettis specializes in taekwondo and muay thai, and has achieved most of his victories by decision of the side judges. The North American's record is 17 wins and three losses.

Fighting in his home country, Pettis is named as the favorite, and his victory is priced at R$1,66/R$1,00. If the big winner is Formiga, the bettor will have a 120% profit.

PUBLICITY:

Scott Holtzman x Alan Nuguette

The other Brazilian representative in the Las Vegas Octagon will be the lightweight Alan Nuguette, who, unlike Formiga, arrives as a favorite to face  scott holtzmann.

Former Bitetti Combat champion, the experienced Nuguette, 35, lost just once in 16 fights as a professional, when he faced Mairbek Taisumov at UFC Berlin, in 2015. He is on a three-fight winning streak, against Damien Brown, Stevie Ray and Damir Hadžović. This will be Manauara's first fight outside the country in the last two years, and the third in his entire career.

Holtzman was also successful in his most recent commitments, but has been out of action for almost a year. The American closed 2017 with 100% success, beating Michael McBride and Darrell Horcher by unanimous decision. Owner of a record of 11 wins and two losses, the former XFC champion could provide bettors with a significant margin of return if he manages to surprise.

PUBLICITY:

According to the numbers of oddsshark, a victory for the North American will return triple the amount invested, but the most likely result is a victory for Nuguette, who has a 38% return.

Vicente Luque x Jalin Turner

In the great night, the North American of Brazilian descent Vincent Luque faces the UFC newcomer jalin turner in the welterweight division.

A professional since 2009, Luque had a very irregular start, but evolved considerably after arriving in the UFC three years ago. In eight fights for the organization, the fighter was defeated only twice, by Michael Graves, in his debut, and Leon edwards, UFC London, in March last year. He comes from two triumphs against Niko Price and Chad Laprise, and has a record of 13 wins, six losses and one no contest.

Despite being young, Turner, just 23 years old, arrives at the main MMA franchise with a history of 10 fights as a professional, of which he won seven and lost three. The American, who is known as Tarantula, had a successful stint at Bellator, with two first-round knockouts against Gabriel Green and Noah Tillis.

The beginner is the best option for the most daring bettors, as it offers a formidable return of R$6,00 for every real invested. Those who prefer to take fewer risks will have a greater chance of success if they invest in Luque, which offers a return of 12%.
