Back injury could bring forward Kenny Florian's retirement

The North American Kenny Florian may be forced to end his career prematurely. The 35-year-old veteran fighter suffered a serious back injury and is already considering the possibility of hanging up his gloves. In an interview with the Boston Herald, Florian did not hide his disappointment with the treatment of the injury.

“I'm going to and from the doctor all the time, so it's possible I'll retire. Right now, obviously I can’t fight or train like I did before,” she said. “But I hope I can heal and get better” he added.

With the injury, Kenny stated that he will be out of training until the middle of this year. “So I decided to take six months off to really recover,” he said.

PUBLICITY:

Florian was a finalist in the first edition of The Ultimate Fighter, the UFC's reality show, when he was beaten by Diego Sanchez in the middleweight dispute. Since then, the fighter, who has a record of 14 wins and six losses, has competed for the lightweight belt on two occasions and in the featherweight division once, when he was dominated by Brazilian José Aldo in the UFC 136, held in October.

Fatal change? Makhachev ignores warning and could end tragically at welterweight!
