Retired, Belfort reveals his support for Wanderlei against Rampage and opens the door for a rematch

Even after hanging up his gloves, in May this year, Vitor Belfort used Instagram to leave his return to MMA open with the revival expected for more than 20 years

Vitor belfort announced his retirement from MMA in May this year, when he was defeated by Lyoto Machida at UFC 224. However, the Phenomenon left the door open for a possible return to competition.

Through a post on Instagram, Belfort revealed his support for his old rival, Wanderlei Silva, against Quinton Rampage Jackson. The fight between the veterans takes place this Saturday at Bellator 206. Afterwards, he left open the possibility of a rematch for his compatriot, in a football stadium in Brazil.

At the time, the Phenomenon took no notice of the 'Crazy Dog' and knocked out his compatriot with a series of punches in just 44 seconds of the fight. Since then, the second meeting between them has been awaited by fans for more than 20 years.
