The UFC confirmed this Friday the duel between the welterweights Paulo thiago e Siyar Bahadurzada. The fight will take place on April 14th, during UFC on FUEL TV 2. The event will mark the debut of the largest MMA organization in the world in Sweden.
The “skull” hasn’t fought since UFC Rio, when he raised the HSBC Arena with the theme song from the film “Tropa de Elite” (photo above). On that occasion he beat David Mitchell by unanimous decision. Paulo would return in the second version of the event in Rio de Janeiro, but an injury kept him out of the fight against the American Mike pyle.
Afghan Bahadurzada will make his UFC debut. Hired in 2011, “Siyar The Great” was scheduled to face Erick silva No. card main event at UFC Rio 2, but an injury also took him out of the event. With a record of 20-4-1, Bahadurzada has won six straight, but has not fought since May 2011.
