The fight

The fight between Marreta and Anders had no time for study. The Brazilian started the dispute by unleashing his arsenal of blows. The North American even tried to respond, but preferred to fight on the ground. Eryk even managed the takedown, but Thiago got out of the pressure and returned to striking on his feet. The North American still tried to balance the battle, but Marreta's attacks were more forceful.

In the second round, Anders tried again to take the fight to the ground, but Marreta showed good takedown defense. The Brazilian still managed to unbalance his rival and work on top. He avoided his rival's pedal strokes and connected with good elbows from above. When the fight resumed on the feet, Thiago threw several punches and knees at the American.

Even more confident in the stand-up fight, Marreta worked with kicks to Anders' leg, in order to stop his rival's movement. In turn, the North American, already quite tired, tried to land some direct hits. Eryk still managed a good takedown, but Thiago got up well. Still in the clinch, the Brazilian threw several elbows that hurt his rival. Anders' mouthguard fell off. The referee stopped the fight, replaced the protection and the punishment did not stop. The Brazilian athlete continued beating until the gong sounded. However, already exhausted, Anders collapsed in the octagon, unable to continue and the referee declared a technical knockout.
