“I was very prepared for this fight on August 4th. I was taken by surprise when it was canceled with just three days to go. I really wanted to fight”, admitted Pitbull in an interview with the Combate channel website.

Previously, the Brazilian fighter had already been scheduled to face Aldana, but had to withdraw from the fight to undergo an emergency procedure on her left eye. With that, Bethe was replaced by Talita Bernardo.

After undergoing surgery, Bethe posted a message to her fans on Instagram Stories: “We often don't understand the obstacles that arise in our lives. We must face problems with solutions and always be grateful. When I had my eye problems, I could have listened to the naysayers and stopped my career. But, as always honoring my genius of stubbornness and perseverance… I tried to continue. Today, I didn't have injury surgery, but rather recovery surgery! Optimize what I have been healing,” she wrote.

Without fighting since July 2017, Bethe guaranteed that her next opponent will face a fighter with a heavy hand.

“I think that the opponent who joins me, whatever her name, will be well received by me and will find Bethe very much missing the octagon. I want it as soon as possible”, said Bethe.

Beth Pitbull has a record of 14 clashes, with 10 wins, three defeats and one draw. In her last commitment, the Brazilian was knocked out by Holly holm No. UFC Singapore on June 2017.

“The main champions have an irregularity. I was undefeated for nine fights in a row, I had three defeats, I had a draw, I had a victory. I think that now, after everything I've been through, I need to take my fights as something positive to win again. And I don’t want to stop anymore”, concluded Bethe.
