Anthony Johnson On the 14th, he will face the biggest challenge of his career. The North American will face the Rio de Janeiro Vitor belfort at UFC 142, a show that will be held at the HSBC Arena, in Rio de Janeiro. Without caring about the pressure, Johnson states that he doesn't mind fighting in Belfort's home and that the result is defined inside the octagon.
“It’s an honor to fight in Brazil. I don't mind fighting in anyone's backyard. I'm a fighter and octagons are octagons anywhere in the world,” said Johnson at the UFC 142 press conference, held by phone on Wednesday night.
Anthony, who moves up from the welterweight division (up to 77 kg.) to the middleweight category (up to 84 kg.), says he will have no problems with the new weight and says the fight will be fun.
“Fighting at this weight will be a lot of fun for me. It will be easy to make weight, today I'm 98 kg and stronger. I’m looking forward to fighting like I did in this category and being a better athlete, a thousand times healthier than I was at 77 kg,” added the American.
the fight between Vitor belfort e Anthony Johnson will be the second most important fight at UFC 142, also called UFC Rio 2. The main attraction of the event will be the defense of the featherweight belt, where the Brazilian José Aldo will put his reign at stake against the North American Chad Mendes.
