Tyron woodley e Colby covington They are getting closer every day to an agreement to meet in the Octagon to unify the welterweight titles. After seeing Darren till get ahead of him and fight for the belt in September, 'Chaos' challenged the 'Chosen One' to a fight at UFC 230. In an interview with the website “MMAjunkie”, the linear champion accepted the fight on November 03rd at Madison Square Garden, in New York (USA). However, the fighter is waiting to be cleared by doctors from a thumb injury so he can confirm the date.

“I had an MRI on my thumb and am taking it for a second opinion. If I'm well, I have no problem fighting in November. It all depends on how severe my thumb injury is. I dislodged him in the first round when I hit Till in the back of the head. I thought it was just sore. I would love to fight at Madison Square Garden again. I don't want to sound arrogant, but I would never accept a fight against Darren till if I didn't have 100% confidence in my two hands. I think I would win Colby covington even with one hand bandaged,” Woodley explained.
If the confrontation is confirmed in November, Woodley will have just two months to prepare for the duel with Covington. Once, the 'Chosen One' fought Till at UFC 228 in September. Even so, the champion doesn't see this as a big problem in accepting the fight.
“The more I fight, the more fighting rhythm I gain. Obviously, because I just fought, I'm still in great shape. I've been eating pancakes, shrimp fried rice, brownies... I took a week off to eat all this junk. Think about this: I would fight against Nate diaz with the head of the femur injured. Colby covington You won't try to wrestle with me. The only thing he does better than me is dress really badly and wear ridiculous hats. Other than that, there's nothing else. That’s his only advantage – and he’s also terrible at teasing,” concluded Tyron.
