Antonio Shoe Guy is out of the fight against Elias Theodorou at UFC 231, an event that takes place on December 08th, in Toronto (CAN). The Brazilian revealed through his Twitter, this Friday (14), that he will not be ready to face his opponent, as he must undergo surgery to treat the pectoral muscle injury he suffered in August.

“Hey, Elias Theodorou. Sorry, man. The injury I suffered is more serious than I imagined. I will have to undergo surgery and I will not be able to fight on December 8th. It's a shame, I would give you a jiu-jitsu lesson and I wouldn't hurt you, because you're a good guy!!”, he posted Shoe Face.
Hey @EliasTheodorou Really sorry man! The injury I had is a little more serious then I thought. I'll need a surgery, so won't be able to fight Dec 8th.
Pity, I was going to give you a bjj lesson, and not hurt you cause your cool!!! @Alexdavismma— Shoe Face (@caradesapatojr) September 14th, 2018
The Paraíba native's injury had already removed him from the event in São Paulo, on September 22nd. However, the organization expected the recovery period to be short and rescheduled the meeting for the Toronto (CAN) show. With the decrease of Shoe Face, Ultimate will have less than three months to find a new opponent for Theodorou.
