One day after the announcement of the agreement between José Aldo and Flamengo, their rivals got back at each other. Vasco's marketing department contacted the Chad Mendes to propose some tributes to the fighter during the week of UFC 142, which will be held in Rio de Janeiro on the 14th.
Fanatic Vascaíno, Fabio “Pateta” Prado, the American fighter's jiu-jitsu coach, confirmed in an interview with the newspaper Lance that Mendes will be welcomed in São Januário by the player Felipe, one of the stars of the Brazilian runner-up team. In addition to winning an official Vasco shirt, the fighter must also accompany the coach to a feijoada offered by one of the team's organized fans. “Chad is calm, he won’t go off the diet. I can’t say the same, I’m going to really enjoy the feijoada (laughs)”, said Goofy.
The coach confirmed to the report SUPER FIGHTS which Chad Mendes will arrive in Rio de Janeiro on January 7th.
