The UFC's last event in 2011, scheduled for next Friday (30), in Las Vegas, features a duel of giants as its main attraction. Former UFC heavyweight champion, Brock Lesnar, faces the last champion of the same category in Strikeforce, the Dutchman alistair overeem, and the winner of this fight will be the first challenger to the Brazilian's belt junior gypsy.
Lesnar, who has been out of action since October 2010 due to diverticulitis, promises to return to competition in style and will not spare his opponent. For the 135 kg giant, Overeem doesn't know what awaits him in the octagon set up at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
“I don't care how many fights he's had. I don't care where his career went. When the octagon door closes and the time comes, he will know very quickly that he has a quarry on his hands,” said Lesnar. “Overeem doesn't know the beast he's about to encounter,” added Brock, at the press conference to promote the duel.
